letter-spacing: 0em;\\\">For one month, I took part in a residency in the village of Topol\\u00f2\/Topolove, in Italy, as part of the <\/span><a style=\\\"text-indent: 0em; letter-spacing: 0em;\\\" rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/uncommonfruits.robidacollective.com\/en\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\"><em data-start=\\\"554\\\" data-end=\\\"571\\\">Uncommon Fruits<\/em><\/a><span style=\\\"text-indent: 0em; letter-spacing: 0em;\\\"> project \\u2014 an initiative by the<\/span> <a style=\\\"text-indent: 0em; letter-spacing: 0em;\\\" rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/robidacollective.com\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\">Robida collective<\/a><span style=\\\"text-indent: 0em; letter-spacing: 0em;\\\"> and Zavod Cepika, included in the official program of the European Capital of Culture 2025. Together with <a rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/diogoamaro.com\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\">Diogo Amaro<\/a> and <a rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/antoniofrederico.com\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\">Ant\\u00f3nio Frederico Lasalvia<\/a>, we imagined, designed, and built <\/span><em>Log<\/em><span style=\\\"text-indent: 0em; letter-spacing: 0em;\\\"> \\u2014 a collective wooden structure, shaped by many hands and deeply rooted in the landscape and local knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\\n<p class=\\\"_Default\\\" data-start=\\\"1620\\\" data-end=\\\"1902\\\"><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\">The wood \\u2014 chestnut and walnut \\u2014 was sourced locally from fallen and dry-standing trees, with help from the community. We drew inspiration from Japanese carpentry and from the <\/span><em style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\" data-start=\\\"741\\\" data-end=\\\"750\\\">kozolci<\/em><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\"> (traditional hayracks) of the region. Each joint was hand-carved, assembled without reinforcements, only carefully crafted interlocking connections.<\/span><\/p>\\n<p class=\\\"_Default\\\" data-start=\\\"1620\\\" data-end=\\\"1902\\\"><em style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\">Log<\/em><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\"> was built on a former agricultural terrace. Its form responds to the sloped terrain, creating varied heights and orientations. It invites different gestures: to sit, lean, gather, rest, observe. Depending on how one approaches it, <\/span><em style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\">Log<\/em><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\"> becomes a bench, a table, a stage \\u2014 or simply a place to be.<\/span><\/p>\\n<p class=\\\"_Default\\\" data-start=\\\"1620\\\" data-end=\\\"1902\\\"><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\">More than a structure, <\/span><em style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\">Log<\/em><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\"> proposes an ecology of relations between bodies, land, tools, time, and care. It reactivates the dormant layers of the terraced landscape and suggests a contemporary model for slow, collective architecture \\u2014 where design and construction are inseparable from context and the help of Blaso.<br \/>\\u2014Pebbles for the base were carried from the river by friends of ZEST Collective.<br \/>\\u2014Foundation stones came from fallen dry-stone walls nearby, set in place with the help of Heike.<br \/>\\u2014All wooden surfaces were treated with linseed oil and beeswax from Robida's hives.<br \/>\\u2014The design of the foundations was conceived to avoid disrupting life at ground level, allowing the structure to cohabit with it instead.<br \/>\\u2014Pillar bases were charred for moisture resistance, to help the structure weather the letter-spacing: 0em;\\\">For one month, I took part in a residency in the village of Topol\\u00f2\/Topolove, in Italy, as part of the <\/span><a style=\\\"text-indent: 0em; letter-spacing: 0em;\\\" rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/uncommonfruits.robidacollective.com\/en\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\"><em data-start=\\\"554\\\" data-end=\\\"571\\\">Uncommon Fruits<\/em><\/a><span style=\\\"text-indent: 0em; letter-spacing: 0em;\\\"> project \\u2014 an initiative by the<\/span> <a style=\\\"text-indent: 0em; letter-spacing: 0em;\\\" rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/robidacollective.com\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\">Robida collective<\/a><span style=\\\"text-indent: 0em; letter-spacing: 0em;\\\"> and Zavod Cepika, included in the official program of the European Capital of Culture 2025. Together with <a rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/diogoamaro.com\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\">Diogo Amaro<\/a> and <a rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/antoniofrederico.com\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\">Ant\\u00f3nio Frederico Lasalvia<\/a>, we imagined, designed, and built <\/span><em>Log<\/em><span style=\\\"text-indent: 0em; letter-spacing: 0em;\\\"> \\u2014 a collective wooden structure, shaped by many hands and deeply rooted in the landscape and local knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\\n<p class=\\\"_Default\\\" data-start=\\\"1620\\\" data-end=\\\"1902\\\"><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\">The wood \\u2014 chestnut and walnut \\u2014 was sourced locally from fallen and dry-standing trees, with help from the community. We drew inspiration from Japanese carpentry and from the <\/span><em style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\" data-start=\\\"741\\\" data-end=\\\"750\\\">kozolci<\/em><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\"> (traditional hayracks) of the region. Each joint was hand-carved, assembled without reinforcements, only carefully crafted interlocking connections.<\/span><\/p>\\n<p class=\\\"_Default\\\" data-start=\\\"1620\\\" data-end=\\\"1902\\\"><em style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\">Log<\/em><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\"> was built on a former agricultural terrace. Its form responds to the sloped terrain, creating varied heights and orientations. It invites different gestures: to sit, lean, gather, rest, observe. Depending on how one approaches it, <\/span><em style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\">Log<\/em><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\"> becomes a bench, a table, a stage \\u2014 or simply a place to be.<\/span><\/p>\\n<p class=\\\"_Default\\\" data-start=\\\"1620\\\" data-end=\\\"1902\\\"><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\">More than a structure, <\/span><em style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\">Log<\/em><span style=\\\"letter-spacing: 0em; text-indent: 0em;\\\"> proposes an ecology of relations between bodies, land, tools, time, and care. It reactivates the dormant layers of the terraced landscape and suggests a contemporary model for slow, collective architecture \\u2014 where design and construction are inseparable from context and the guidance of Marco and the help of Blaso.<br \/>\\u2014Pebbles for the base were carried from the river by friends of ZEST Collective.<br \/>\\u2014Foundation stones came from fallen dry-stone walls nearby, set in place with the help of Heike.<br \/>\\u2014All wooden surfaces were treated with linseed oil and beeswax from Robida's hives.<br \/>\\u2014The design of the foundations was conceived to avoid disrupting life at ground level, allowing the structure to cohabit with it instead.<br \/>\\u2014Pillar bases were charred for moisture resistance, to help the structure weather the
